Bought 2 x Blu3 Nomands in March of 24 - put in about 10 hours no complaints. Regulator screws were rusting - a quick call and I had new ones, a day later. ( I winter in Florida)Used the units for another 20 hours maybe, absolutely quality kit - flawless and simple. Jump ahead to winter 2026 and two of the four batteries failed and one of the units was not operating correctly ......
One call, Jack completely understood, walked me through a bit of troubleshooting, we fixed my error - he then diagnosed the batteries and warranteed part of the replacemenet cost - thank you Jack, thank you Blue3 - the replacement batteries are expensive, you must fix this. The BLU3 Nomad is awesome for spring river diving. It’s lightweight, easy to set up, and way more convenient than hauling full scuba gear. The airflow feels solid and it’s perfect for shallow, clear water where you just want to relax and explore. Not a replacement for deep dives, but for springs and river runs it works great and makes getting in the water quick and hassle-free.

We have been using the Nomad Blu3 unit for a little over a year. We are full time cruisers and use it about every 2-3 weeks to clean the hull of our boat. Its a game changer for our situation. We just got he 3X battery which will be even better to allow for more time cleaning. Great product!!

After using the system for 2 seasons, light use , total of 50 dives, the unit started pushing some water together with the air into the regulator. The leak was within the compressor, not the hose. I used NOMAD in that condition for 10 more dives. The unit now stopped working. The compressor is on and running but no air comes out of the regulator. Also , battery latch broke off due to vibrations. Considering this is a USA company you would expect better quality.

As I commented earlier on FB, I own one and absolutely love it. My wife and I both used it in the Bahamas and the Virgin Islands. We have been avid scuba enthusiasts for over forty years. Our BLU3 system is perfect for shallow dives as it frees us up from lugging all the required equipment related to scuba. It's the same experience as skin diving without having to surface. You hardly know it is there. We are retired and travel often so another great advantage is the compact BLU3 system is allowed as carry on when flying!

I have the Nemo model from Diveblu3 and I love it. Recently the electronic components failed due to salt water corrosion. I mailed it back to the company for them to fix it, and even though it was out of warranty, they not only covered the service charges, but also upgraded the battery and the hose attachment. They were very responsive by email throughout the whole process. What great customer service!! I highly recommend that brand!

Just starting with my nomad mini - three dives in and loving it. Really well designed, feels v stable and safe. I dive in shallow water to do u/w surveys in Greece and a tank would be really cumbersome in these conditions. This system is perfect for what I need, to be able to stay still on the seabed and measure/photograph seahorses, without stressing them out with freediving up and down constantly. Also the team in Florida are so responsive and helpful, very much recommend.

I recently purchased the Nomad and couldn’t be happier with it. Having done plenty of dives and snorkeling over the years, I can honestly say this combines the best of both worlds. The performance is impressive—and it’s great that the air comes at no cost! Customer service has also been outstanding. I misplaced a plug, called support, and they answered right away, were extremely helpful, and even had a replacement shipped overnight.

Ok I love my nomad. I have used it at many beaches in Florida to the Caribbean. But what has made me like them even more is customer service.
I went diving a week ago and had a problem with my nomad. I talked to Jack and actually shipped it out to them that day. Called and talked and said I have a big trip lined up. He said we got you.
I got my nomad delivered today. The day before I leave.
So I get to breathe under water again.

We purchased the blue3nemo dive system prior to our Atlantic crossing on our sailboat this past year, and have been impressed with the system that we have now used multiple times. It was easy to use and essential for changing anodes in remote anchorages, and made cleaning the boat bottom so much easier. The batteries have held up well, and the system has worked flawlessly. It has given us peace of mind knowing we can work to free fouled lines ourselves and take care of underwater tasks without having to find a place to haul the boat. And bonus, it’s fun to use for shallow diving!

I purchased the 30 foot model of the Blue Sea and have used it for bottom cleaning on my 53 foot mono hull with a 6 foot draft. It has exceeded my expectations! The fast charging time of the battery packs and the 30 foot air hose fits the bill.

I bought the Nomad Mini this summer and had a blast diving/floating in the rivers around Pennsylvania searching for sunk treasures & checking out underwater wildlife. We're looking forward to using it in the Caribbean during our winter warm-up, and again next summer. The device seems to be very durable, and there was a lot of thought put into the design. I was initially hesitant to spend the money before seeing the system in action, but am so glad I did! It was very easy to setup & get running. We absolutely love our BLU3 Nomad! We keep ours on our boat when traveling, using it to dive and maintain our hull /zines as well as spearfishing and Lobster hunting. It is compact, self contained and lightweight, making it easy to take with us when exploring in our dinghy. No affiliation with the company, just a very satisfied customer. I've owned the Nemo by BLU3 for 4 years. I love this system for doing my shallow water metal detecting. It's really a perfect product for what I'm doing. BLU3's customer service has also been prompt and helpful the few times I've had question or issues. I have used my Nemo for years without any problems, the design is unparalleled in both ease of use and reliability. I have a BLU3 diving setup that I actually love. I got certified for diving back in 1970 and I've loved diving since then. What I hated was the weight and cumbersome of all of the gear. I've also used Air supply diving gear for a long time, but BLU3 is a real game changer! I can carry this along the beach and enter the water easily within moments of reaching the dive site.

I have had what I call Mr Blue - 3 . I have had no problems with this unit I got 3 yrs ago. Since then I have used it with my waterproof metal detecter Dominican Republic , 2 times and Point Mago Ca, this is so much fun. If you know someone with Mr Blue, ask to try it ! We already have a Nomad Mini, and love it, so we decided to purchase a second unit! While you're limited to the length of the hose, it's a great way to explore the shallow reefs, clean the bottom of your boat, or just sit in your pool, underwater, for an extended period of time! Had to reach out to customer support regarding something basic and they were quick to respond! Highly Recommend if you're in the market. Be sure to go through the training too.. Great information.

I recently became a happy owner of a nomad! I ordered it with extra batteries and a charger. And I received another battery and charger as a gift from the blu3 team! The order was assembled and shipped as quickly as possible! Nomad was well packed and arrived in Europe without damage! Assembly was as easy and fast as possible! Immediately after assembly, Nomad proved itself in action! An excellent compact solution! I had experience using diving equipment with a dive duration of 35-45 minutes and a depth of up to 7 meters. I tried Nomad in the same conditions, with the same depth and the same dive time. And I can say with confidence - Nomad is lighter, more compact and more convenient! What allows Nomad to be so compact, energy-efficient, and responsive is our patented Smart Reg™ – the first of its kind!
Here’s how it works: A silicone diaphragm inside the Smart Reg™ moves when the diver breathes. A waterproofed sensor measures the diaphragm movement – it then sends an electronic signal which triggers the compressor to pump air at exactly the time and speed that the diver is inhaling.
The Compressor
With deeper depths, higher pressure and flow rates are required for diving. Our custom compressor designed by our team in Florida, USA has been customized to fit this application. For example – even if you accidentally get saltwater inside your pump, no damage will be done. Just rinse freshwater through. Don’t try that with any other compressors!
The flotation shell surrounding the compressor on the BLU3 Nomad dive system gives the unit inherent buoyancy without the need for a flotation tube. The flotation shell is rotomolded from hard, durable plastic and filled with foam so that it’s unsinkable. That being said, you should use the Dry Bag Float whenever you dive for additional buoyancy, stability, and visibility.

Nomad is powered by a custom lithium-ion battery pack that is swappable and rechargeable. The pack and connector are IP67-rated to handle saltwater environments. It’s 144 Wh, so it is allowed in carry-on luggage on most airlines! A charge-level indicator is located right on the battery itself so that you can always check your battery level. Be sure to grab a few extra packs so that you can dive all day long!
Dry Bag Float
The Dry Bag Float provides buoyancy, visibility, and waterproof storage for dry items. It has two air reservoirs that can be inflated by mouth with ease to provide 44 lb of buoyancy. It’s bright color will help notify surrounding boaters of your location. Store dry items inside the waterproof compartment while you enjoy your dive with Nomad.

Nomad’s 40-foot air hose is the perfect balance of weight, flexibility, and durability. The coils prevent the hose from kinking and make it super easy to handle. Bungee the hose up for easy storage. Is the BLU3 Nomad Dive System stable in the water without a flotation ring around it?
What is the Reserve Air Tank option for with the BLU3 Nomad Dive System?
DOES NOMAD FLOAT?
Yes! And by the way, Nomad must be in water during use to remain cool. (Never operate out of water.) Nomad has built-in flotation and can float on its own. However, for diving offshore, the included Dry Bag Float is strongly recommended for additional buoyancy and visibility. Plus you can store dry items inside!
CAN THE NOMAD FOR HULL CLEANING CLEANING AND PROPELLER INSPECTIONS?
Yes, the Nomad is perfect for tasks like hull cleaning, propeller inspections, and other boat maintenance at depths up to 30 feet.
IS THE NOMAD SUITABLE FOR USE IN SALTWATER ENVIRONMENTS?
Absolutely! The Nomad is designed to perform well in saltwater. We recommend dunking Nomad in a tub of fresh water to thoroughly soak the Nomad after each use to maintain its performance.
CAN I TRAVEL WITH THE NOMAD ON MY BOAT?
Yes, the Nomad is compact and easy to store on most boats, making it convenient for day trips or extended voyages.
WHAT IS THE WEIGHT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE NOMAD AND NOMAD MINI FOR PORTABILITY ON A BOAT?
The Nomad weighs 15 lbs, while the Nomad Mini weighs 12 lbs. Both are lightweight and easy to store, but the Nomad offers more depth and runtime for tasks requiring additional capability.
WHAT IF NOMAD FLIPS OR GOES UNDERWATER?
As long as the very top of the intake snorkel remains above the water, you will continue to receive fresh air flow from Nomad. The rest of the unit can be submerged. If water does get inside the pump, no damage will be caused. Simply rinse it through with fresh water.
IS NOMAD AIRPLANE FRIENDLY?
Absolutely! The lithium battery used is under the limit and accepted by most airlines in carry-on luggage so that you can travel around the world with Nomad. The Nomad inside its backpack will fit as carry-on luggage, or you can check the unit while bringing the battery as carry-on. Be prepared by bringing your Air Travel Certificate, which you can download here: https://www.diveblu3.com/air-travel-certificates/
DOES THE NOMAD BATTERY LAST LONGER IN SHALLOW WATER?
Yes! If you're using Nomad in shallow waters, you can expect longer run times. And you will be able to coil up the excess hose length neatly so that Nomad stays close by.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE IN NOMAD DIVING?
WARNING: Nomad uses strong magnets. Magnets may interfere with pacemakers or medical implants. It is advised that persons with pacemakers or medical implants do not use Nomad. Persons with pacemakers or medical implants must stay back at least 2 feet from the Nomad main body at all times.
Prior to Nomad Diving, ALL USERS Must:
- Read and understand the Nomad Owner's - Users Manual
- Complete the BLU3 Fitness to Dive Evaluation
- Complete the BLU3 Online Dive Training Course
All Users must be able to:
- Swim 200 yards without stopping, without a time limit
- Tread water for 10 minutes continuously
Age Limits:
- Users must be 8 years of age or older to Nomad dive, but are restricted to diving in a swimming pool only, in water shallow enough so that they can stand with their head above the surface of the water.
- Users must be 10 years of age or older to dive outside of the pool.
- Users under the age of 18 must have parental or guardian supervision at all times.

Bought 2 x Blu3 Nomands in March of 24 - put in about 10 hours no complaints. Regulator screws were rusting - a quick call and I had new ones, a day later. ( I winter in Florida)Used the units for another 20 hours maybe, absolutely quality kit - flawless and simple. Jump ahead to winter 2026 and two of the four batteries failed and one of the units was not operating correctly ......
One call, Jack completely understood, walked me through a bit of troubleshooting, we fixed my error - he then diagnosed the batteries and warranteed part of the replacemenet cost - thank you Jack, thank you Blue3 - the replacement batteries are expensive, you must fix this. The BLU3 Nomad is awesome for spring river diving. It’s lightweight, easy to set up, and way more convenient than hauling full scuba gear. The airflow feels solid and it’s perfect for shallow, clear water where you just want to relax and explore. Not a replacement for deep dives, but for springs and river runs it works great and makes getting in the water quick and hassle-free.

We have been using the Nomad Blu3 unit for a little over a year. We are full time cruisers and use it about every 2-3 weeks to clean the hull of our boat. Its a game changer for our situation. We just got he 3X battery which will be even better to allow for more time cleaning. Great product!!

After using the system for 2 seasons, light use , total of 50 dives, the unit started pushing some water together with the air into the regulator. The leak was within the compressor, not the hose. I used NOMAD in that condition for 10 more dives. The unit now stopped working. The compressor is on and running but no air comes out of the regulator. Also , battery latch broke off due to vibrations. Considering this is a USA company you would expect better quality.

As I commented earlier on FB, I own one and absolutely love it. My wife and I both used it in the Bahamas and the Virgin Islands. We have been avid scuba enthusiasts for over forty years. Our BLU3 system is perfect for shallow dives as it frees us up from lugging all the required equipment related to scuba. It's the same experience as skin diving without having to surface. You hardly know it is there. We are retired and travel often so another great advantage is the compact BLU3 system is allowed as carry on when flying!

I have the Nemo model from Diveblu3 and I love it. Recently the electronic components failed due to salt water corrosion. I mailed it back to the company for them to fix it, and even though it was out of warranty, they not only covered the service charges, but also upgraded the battery and the hose attachment. They were very responsive by email throughout the whole process. What great customer service!! I highly recommend that brand!

Just starting with my nomad mini - three dives in and loving it. Really well designed, feels v stable and safe. I dive in shallow water to do u/w surveys in Greece and a tank would be really cumbersome in these conditions. This system is perfect for what I need, to be able to stay still on the seabed and measure/photograph seahorses, without stressing them out with freediving up and down constantly. Also the team in Florida are so responsive and helpful, very much recommend.

I recently purchased the Nomad and couldn’t be happier with it. Having done plenty of dives and snorkeling over the years, I can honestly say this combines the best of both worlds. The performance is impressive—and it’s great that the air comes at no cost! Customer service has also been outstanding. I misplaced a plug, called support, and they answered right away, were extremely helpful, and even had a replacement shipped overnight.

Ok I love my nomad. I have used it at many beaches in Florida to the Caribbean. But what has made me like them even more is customer service.
I went diving a week ago and had a problem with my nomad. I talked to Jack and actually shipped it out to them that day. Called and talked and said I have a big trip lined up. He said we got you.
I got my nomad delivered today. The day before I leave.
So I get to breathe under water again.

The Blu3 Dive system has been exceptionally helpful for the work on our Coral City Camera and urban coral research. It gives me more flexibility to do work underwater in relatively shallow water where I would normally have to hold my breath via snorkel

We purchased the blue3nemo dive system prior to our Atlantic crossing on our sailboat this past year, and have been impressed with the system that we have now used multiple times. It was easy to use and essential for changing anodes in remote anchorages, and made cleaning the boat bottom so much easier. The batteries have held up well, and the system has worked flawlessly. It has given us peace of mind knowing we can work to free fouled lines ourselves and take care of underwater tasks without having to find a place to haul the boat. And bonus, it’s fun to use for shallow diving!

I purchased the 30 foot model of the Blue Sea and have used it for bottom cleaning on my 53 foot mono hull with a 6 foot draft. It has exceeded my expectations! The fast charging time of the battery packs and the 30 foot air hose fits the bill.

I bought the Nomad Mini this summer and had a blast diving/floating in the rivers around Pennsylvania searching for sunk treasures & checking out underwater wildlife. We're looking forward to using it in the Caribbean during our winter warm-up, and again next summer. The device seems to be very durable, and there was a lot of thought put into the design. I was initially hesitant to spend the money before seeing the system in action, but am so glad I did! It was very easy to setup & get running. We absolutely love our BLU3 Nomad! We keep ours on our boat when traveling, using it to dive and maintain our hull /zines as well as spearfishing and Lobster hunting. It is compact, self contained and lightweight, making it easy to take with us when exploring in our dinghy. No affiliation with the company, just a very satisfied customer. I've owned the Nemo by BLU3 for 4 years. I love this system for doing my shallow water metal detecting. It's really a perfect product for what I'm doing. BLU3's customer service has also been prompt and helpful the few times I've had question or issues. It was an investment for me to get a Nemo, but it's paid for itself many times over in finding lost jewelry/phones/watches/sunglasses, etc. for myself and others.

The Nomad is a great product. I use it mostly, but not totally, in less than 5' of water. At these shallow depths I get about 1 1/2 hours of battery power. I've had it over two years. Customer service is fast, friendly, and helpful.

I have used my Nemo for years without any problems, the design is unparalleled in both ease of use and reliability. I have a BLU3 diving setup that I actually love. I got certified for diving back in 1970 and I've loved diving since then. What I hated was the weight and cumbersome of all of the gear. I've also used Air supply diving gear for a long time, but BLU3 is a real game changer! I can carry this along the beach and enter the water easily within moments of reaching the dive site.

I have had what I call Mr Blue - 3 . I have had no problems with this unit I got 3 yrs ago. Since then I have used it with my waterproof metal detecter Dominican Republic , 2 times and Point Mago Ca, this is so much fun. If you know someone with Mr Blue, ask to try it ! We already have a Nomad Mini, and love it, so we decided to purchase a second unit! While you're limited to the length of the hose, it's a great way to explore the shallow reefs, clean the bottom of your boat, or just sit in your pool, underwater, for an extended period of time! Had to reach out to customer support regarding something basic and they were quick to respond! Highly Recommend if you're in the market. Be sure to go through the training too.. Great information.

We love our BLU3 Nomad. We use it when anchored to explore our underneath world. We put it in our dingy and take to clearer waters and reefs. My husband also uses it to clean the bottom of the boat. It is Very quiet.

I recently became a happy owner of a nomad! I ordered it with extra batteries and a charger. And I received another battery and charger as a gift from the blu3 team! The order was assembled and shipped as quickly as possible! Nomad was well packed and arrived in Europe without damage! Assembly was as easy and fast as possible! Immediately after assembly, Nomad proved itself in action! An excellent compact solution! I had experience using diving equipment with a dive duration of 35-45 minutes and a depth of up to 7 meters. I tried Nomad in the same conditions, with the same depth and the same dive time. And I can say with confidence - Nomad is lighter, more compact and more convenient! I tried my NOMAD out for the first time 2 weeks ago…I am an avid fossil collector in rivers and creeks of Florida…the unit it exceptionally portable and easy to use….as noted in a review above, the breathing takes a little getting used to as it is an on demand system…i used my unit all day and never exhausted even one battery….the only minor concern i had was the buoyancy of the unit as it seemed a bit off balance in a creek i was in…I contacted the Blu3 Team…i received immediate feedback during normal working hours with team questions and reassurances they would work to address the issue, including replacing the unit if necessary…excellent customer service! This really beats lugging around tanks and gear in some of the inhospitable and overgrown places I trek to….would recommend this unit to anyone interested in surface supply air system.

Very cool, portable dive set. I love the ability to change batteries and do another dive, keeping me independent of scuba shops.
The backpack is well designed and manufactured. I think you still need another bag for mask, fins, weight belt, booties, gloves, etc. but it is well sized not too bulky or heavy. When you first put the regulator in your mask it is a different feeling- the compressor only kicks on as you breathe. testing it in the living room- it is a little weird to breathe and then have the compressor kick on and vibrate a second later.
If there was one thing I’d want changed it is the flag design- the wire that keeps it unfurled when diving also makes it hard to store. It is also hard to change out the battery while the hose is wrapped around the main unit.

I have thousands of dives through the years and most often find the sealife most beautiful is in the top 30 feet. This device makes it easy and works just as well as full scuba gear. No tank and regulator to deal with, just 10 pounds in the weight belt and off you go. Battery life is very good as well. It is light, easy to set up and breathes just like a scuba tank and regulator. I’m ordering my second one now.

I’ve always wanted to scuba dive, without the scuba stuff. It all just seems intimidating. So after going over some alternatives, this seemed like the logical step.
